Dr. Campbell taught 15 different Communications courses during her 29 years as a professor, program director and dean at St. Petersburg College. In addition, she was a pioneer in online instruction.
She was active in the Faculty Governance Organization and served as Senate president for three years.
Her deep concern for Developmental Education resulted in her winning the Chancellor’s Best Practice Award in 2012 for My Bridge to Success, a developmental reform grant co-written with her friend and former Mathematics dean, Sharon Griggs.
She holds a master’s degree from Duke University and a doctorate from the University of South Florida. She retired in May and lives in Dunedin.
