Mr. Lancraft came to St Petersburg College in the late 1980s as a part-time Science instructor. He was promoted to a full-time position in 1990 specializing in Human Anatomy and Physiology.
His bachelor’s degree in Biology and his master’s degree in Marine Biology are from the University of California Santa Barbara.
He has published dozens of articles and scientific abstracts on Deep Sea Ecology and Physiology, and developed many online Science courses. He was the creator of the first online Biology Lab in Florida. Students in his classes learned how to be self-motivating and persistently curious.
Mr. Lancraft has made six research expeditions to Antarctica, experienced three deep-sea submersible dives and participated in more than 40 research cruises.
He retired in May and lives in St. Petersburg.
